4 Abstrakt Obratlovci se vyznačují velkou diverzitou orgánů tělního pokryvu, jako jsou například šupiny, peří, srst, nebo modifikace od nich odvozené. Tyto orgány bývají po tělním povrchu rozmístěny jednotlivě a rovnoměrně, přičemž míra pravidelnosti jejich organizace se mezi druhy může lišit. Regulace jejich vzniku a pravidelného rozmístění je podmíněna epitelo- mezenchymálními interakcemi. Signální dráhy jsou klíčovými součástmi těchto interakcí a jejich častými účastníky jsou molekulární morfogeny jako BMPs, Wnts, FGFs a Shh. Ve snaze vysvětlit vzájemné vztahy mezi těmito morfogeny, které vedou k uspořádanému vzoru orgánů tělního pokryvu neboli patternu, bylo navrženo mnoho matematických modelů. Recentně se však do popředí opětovně dostává Turingův reakčně difúzní model, sestávající ze souhry mezi aktivátory a inhibitory k dosažení samoustanovení opakujícího se pravidelného patternu. Cílem této bakalářské práce je blíže prozkoumat roli Turingova mechanismu v regulaci a pravidelnosti rozmístění orgánů tělního pokryvu. Klíčová slova: obratlovci, Turing, reakčně difúzní mechanismus, patterning, peří, chlupy, šupiny, FGF, BMP, Shh, Wnt 5 Abstract Vertebrates are characterised by a great diversity of integumentary appendages, such as scales, feathers or hairs, or modifications derived from them. These organs tend to be distributed individually and evenly across the body surface, and the degree of regularity of their organisation may vary between species. The regulation of their formation and regular distribution is determined by epithelial-mesenchymal interactions. Signaling pathways are key components of these interactions, and molecular morphogens such as BMPs, Wnts, FGFs and Shh are their frequent participants. Many mathematical models have been proposed in an attempt to explain the relationships between those morphogens, which lead to the orderly spacing of integumentary appendages, during the process that is also known as patterning. Recently, however, the Turing reaction-diffusion model, consisting of the interplay between activators and inhibitors to achieve a self-organizing, repetitive patterning, has come to the fore again. The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to further explore the role of the Turing mechanism in the regulation and regularity of the distribution of body covering organs.
