Diplomová práce se zabývá krizí Českého rozhlasu v 90. letech, v rámci které rapidně přicházel o mladé posluchače. Právě toto téma se využívá pro ilustraci některých prvků změn, jež se udály v politickém systému a společnosti po pádu komunistické diktatury, tedy v tzv. období transformace. Prostřednictvím informací z Archivu ČRo, dobových periodik, zákonů a odborných prací a článků oboru historie, sociologie či mediálních studií mapuje legislativu a nové podmínky, ve kterých se rozhlas v podobě veřejnoprávního média musel naučit fungovat. Rozhlasu přebíraly posluchače konkurenční soukromé vysílací stanice, které byly státem značně prosazované a jejichž vývoj se též rozebírá. Studie se zaměřuje i na charakterizování a kulturní zaměření mladé generace 90. let, což pomáhá pochopit, proč pro ni vysílání pro mladé ČsRo a poté ČRo nebylo atraktivní. Další část práce je již věnována samotnému obsahu a podobě vysílání pro mladé a na příkladech některých jeho pořadů dokazuje, jak konzervativní a od dob normalizace nepozměněnou formu mělo. Jedinými relacemi, jež dokázaly mladé opět k rozhlasu přitáhnout, byly ty od tvůrčího týmu Rádia Mama, který roku 1994 začal na stanici Praha hojně vysílat. Zapojení tohoto týmu do vysílání bylo pokusem o znovuzískání mladých lidí. Na pořady Rádia Mama si však začali v... The thesis deals with the crisis of Czech Radio in the 1990s, during which it was rapidly losing young listeners. This topic is used to illustrate some elements of the changes that took place in the political system and society after the fall of the communist dictatorship, i.e. in the so-called transformation period. Through information from the Archives of Czech Radio, periodicals, laws, and scholarly works and articles in the fields of history, sociology, and media studies, it maps the legislation and new conditions in which radio as a public service medium had to learn to function. Radio listeners were taken over by competing private broadcasters, which were heavily promoted by the state and whose development is also discussed. The study also focuses on the characterization and cultural orientation of the young generation of the 1990s, which helps to understand why youth broadcasting of Czechoslovakian and then Czech Radio was not attractive to this generation. The next part of the thesis is devoted to the content and form of youth broadcasting itself, and uses examples of some of its programmes to show how conservative and unchanged since the normalisation era it was.
