Diplomová práce je zaměřená na peer konzultanty v oblasti péče o duševní zdraví a jejich cestu k této profesi. V průběhu bylo výzkumné téma rozšířeno i na důvody setrvání a odchodu. Cílem práce je zjistit, jakým způsobem se osoby s duševním onemocněním stávají peer konzultanty a jaké faktory přispívají k jejich setrvání v profesi či naopak odchodu z profese. Cíl byl zkoumán prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu realizovaného formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s peer konzultanty z psychiatrických nemocnic, různých neziskových organizací a Center duševního zdraví. Do analýzy bylo zapojeno sedm žen a 3 muži - peer konzultantky a peer konzultanti, kteří aktuálně na těchto pozicích působí. Sebraná data byla analyzována pomocí otevřeného kódování. Výzkum identifikuje faktory, které pozitivně i negativně ovlivňují vstup osob s duševním onemocněním do profese. Mezi faktory, které přispívají vstupu do profese patří zejména obavy o vlastní zdraví důsledkem psychické náročnosti práce, míra jejich vlastního Zotavení a stále také i nevědomost o existenci této profese. Naopak mezi překážky patří fakt, že tato práce reflektuje jejich speciální potřeby a jedná se o pomáhající profesi. The master thesis is focused on peer consultants in the field of mental health care and their path to this profession. During the course of research, the topic was expanded to include reasons for staying and leaving. The aim of the paper is to find out how people with mental disease become peer consultants and what factors contribute to their staying in the profession or, conversely, leaving the profession. The research was carried out using qualitative research conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with peer consultants from psychiatric hospitals, various non-profit organizations and Mental Health Centers. Seven women and 3 men all currently in peer consultant positions were involved in the analysis. The collected dataset was analyzed using open coding. The research identifies positive and negative factors that influence the entry of people with mental illness into the profession. The factors that contribute to entering the profession mainly include concerns about one's own health as a result of the psychological demands of the job, the level of their own Recovery and still also ignorance about the existence of this profession.
