Tato diplomová práce se zabývá účetní profesí a jejím vývojem v letech 1989 až 2004. Rok 1989 je stanoven s ohledem na změnu hospodářského systému tehdejšího Československa, která nastala v důsledku polistopadových událostí. Rok 2004 kopíruje vstup České republiky do Evropské unie. Sleduji proměnu účetní profese na pozadí transformace hospodářského systému, vývoje výpočetní techniky a také přijímání nových zákonů a účetních standardů. Pro práci jsem použila několik různých druhů pramenů, mezi které patří dobová odborná literatura včetně účetních a daňových časopisů, archivní prameny, ale také prameny získané metodou orální historie. Ty tvoří hlavní zdroj pro empirickou část diplomové práce, která se zabývá podnikatelským prostředím, které v 90. let vznikalo a které vytvářelo podmínky pro rozvoj účetní profese; přijímáním nových zákonů a způsobu, jakým se s těmito předpisy účetní seznamovali včetně vztahu účetních s Finančním úřadem a také se zvláštním důrazem na Svaz účetních, jako na instituci, která se věnuje nejen vzdělávání účetních, ale také účetní profesi zastřešuje a dopadem, jaký měl na účetní profesi vývoj výpočetní techniky. V neposlední řadě tím, jaké bylo postavení účetních ve společnosti. This thesis deals with the accounting profession and its development between 1989 and 2004. The year 1989 is set with consideration of the change in the economic system of the former Czechoslovakia, which occurred as a result of the post-November events. The year 2004 follows the entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union. I thus trace thedevelopment of the accounting profession against the background of the transformation of the economic system, the development of computer technology and the adoption of new laws and accounting standards. I have used several different types of sources for this thesis, including period manuals, accounting and tax journals, archival sources, as well assources obtained through the oral history method. These form the main basis for the empirical part of the thesis, which deals with the business environment in the 1990s which created the conditions for the development of the accounting profession; the adoption further of new laws and the way how accountants became familiar with these regulations, including the relationship between accountants and the Tax Office, and also with special emphasis on the Accountants Union as an institution that not only educates accountants but also represents the accounting profession; the impact that the development of computer...
