Tato bakalářská práce bude rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část se bude zabývat legislativou Evropské unie a České republiky, katalogem odpadů a možnostem využití a likvidace odpadu. Druhé části se bude zabývat tříděním odpadů podle jejich materiálové podstaty, zpracování odpadů na zdroje nebo energie a likvidaci nevyužitelného odpadu na skládkách. Závěrečná část se bude zabývat budoucností odpadového hospodářství v Evropské unii a České republice.
