Bachelor`s work is composed of two parts: theoretical and practical. Theoretical part in foreword is led to question of a family, it shows different definitions and describes changes in history, with a point of contemporary crisis of a family, which is mainly caused by growth of divorce, large numbers of a single households and increasing quantity of incomplete families. Next is a description of single mother family, which is one of the possible types of monoparental state of the family, where in most of the cases is in head of the family lonely mother. I am also presenting the term of an incomplete family and showing the most frequent reasons of it`s origins, which are single motherhood, partner`s death and a divorce. Those reasons helped to seperate the chapters to single, widowed and divorced moher. Last chapter pays attention to aspects of the lonely mother`s life, which are becoming the most problematic, particularly economical and living situation, private life and everyday care for children and household, where the moher stands alone for it all. Practical part leads to a research of the lonely mothers. It describes methodology of the research, questions, goals, schedule, basic and research set of the files. The research was made on basis of qualitative method, which took place of a form of narrative interviews with lonely mothers. Main part of he research is telling a story of each lonely mother, which isnt changed anyhow, but spontaneously said. After that there were asked questions, to clarify the stories, if something wasnt understood and would miss in research. Goal of the reasearch is to analyze a real situation of lonely mothers, who are alone in upbringing children, how they became lonely mothers and to find out their social reality.
