Od roku 2010 bylo sociology zaznamenáno, že mladiství každým rokem pijí méně alkoholu a kouří méně cigaret, než v předchozích letech. Tato práce analyzuje spojitost rodinného zázemí a poklesu užívání alkoholu a cigaret v České republice mezi lety 2010-2018. Data jsou z mezinárodní studie HBSC (Health Behaviour in School-aged Children), z let 2010, 2014 a 2018. Práce pojednává pouze o případech z České republiky, data mají tisíce případů, tudíž jsou dostatečně robustní pro provedení kvantitativních analýz. V analýze je věnována pozornost pouze alkoholu a klasickým cigaretám jakožto dvěma nejčastějším návykovým látkám, které mladiství konzumují. V rámci rodinného zázemí je sledována přítomnost rodičů v domácnosti, jednoduchost komunikace mezi rodičem a dítětem, a rodinným bohatstvím. Sekundární analýza prokázala spojitost rodinného bohatství s množstvím vypitého alkoholu a vykouřených cigaret. Děti z bohatších rodin pijí alkohol častěji než děti z opačného konce spektra, a naopak děti z chudších rodin vykouří více cigaret. Data nemají potenciál sledování kauzality, bylo možné sledovat pouze korelace. Hlavním závěrem práce je, že pokles kouření a pití alkoholu u dětí v ČR mezi lety 2010-2018 byl doprovázen změnami v rodinném prostředí. Since 2010, sociologists have noted that teenagers drink less alcohol and smoke a smaller number of cigarettes each year than in previous years. This paper analyses the association between family background and the decline in alcohol and cigarette use in the Czech Republic between 2010 and 2018. The data are from the international HBSC (Health Behaviour in School-aged Children) study, from the years 2010, 2014, and 2018. The bachelor thesis only discusses cases from the Czech Republic, the data have thousands of cases, so they are robust enough to perform quantitative analyses. The analysis focuses only on alcohol and conventional cigarettes as the two most common addictive substances consumed by adolescents. Family background is examined in terms of parental presence in the household, ease of communication between parent and child, and family wealth. Secondary analysis showed an association of family wealth with the amount of alcohol consumed and cigarettes smoked. Children from wealthier families drink alcohol more often than children from the opposite end of the spectrum, and conversely, children from poorer families smoke more cigarettes.
