V teoretické části jsem se zaměřovala na definici, fyziologii bolesti, její dělení, diagnostiku, hodnocení bolesti, terapeutické postupy v tišení bolesti, faktory ovlivňující bolest, roli všeobecné sestry při ošetřování pacientů s chronickou bolestí, centra pro léčbu bolesti a na obecný popis kvality života i na specifickou kvalitu života pacientů s chronickou bolestí. Empirická část předkládá výsledky kvantitativního šetření formou nestandardizovaného dotazníku, který se zaměřoval na otázky vztahující se k chronické bolesti a standardizovaného dotazníku WHOQOL-BREF, který hodnotil celkovou kvalitu života a zdravotní stav. Výzkum probíhal v Krajské nemocnici Liberec, a.s. a v Nemocnici Jablonec nad Nisou, p.o. Dále se empirická část věnovala porovnáváním kvality života pacientů s chronickou bolestí, zjišťováním vybraných proměnných na kvalitu života a vlivu terapeutické... In the theoretical part, I focused on the definition, physiology of pain, its division, diagnosis, pain assessment, therapeutic procedures in pain management, factors affecting pain, the role of the general nurse in the treatment of patients with chronic pain, pain management centres and a general description of the quality of life and the specific quality of life of patients with chronic pain. The empirical part presents the results of a quantitative investigation in the form of a non-standardized questionnaire that focused on questions related to chronic pain and a standardized WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire that assessed overall quality of life and health status.
