Název: Vztah mezi konzumací alkoholu a sémantickou verbální fluencí u seniorů nad 65 let Cíle: Zjistit spojitost mezi konzumací alkoholu a jednou ze složek paměti - sémantickou verbální fluencí u seniorů na 65 let. Metody: V rámci diplomové práce byla provedena sekundární analýza dat z mezinárodní průřezové studie, která je součástí projektu Survey of Health Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). Pro účely této diplomové práce byli účastníci studie rozděleni do šesti kategorií podle dosaženého stupně vzdělání, a to jak muži, tak ženy. V rámci analýzy dat byly vypočítány generalizované lineární modely pro každou z výše zmíněných kategorií zvláště. Výsledky: Průzkum zahrnoval celkem 41 224 účastníků průměrný věk 75,1 ± 7,4 let, z nichž bylo 22 737 žen a 18 487 mužů. 83,0 % účastníků uvedlo, že nepožili žádný alkohol poslední tři měsíce před testováním. Četnější konzumace alkoholu byla v několika kategoriích dle vzdělání spojena s nižší výkonností v testu sémantické verbální fluence (p<0,001). Tento vztah byl především u účastníků s nižším vzděláním, kde u konzumace pět nebo šest dní v týdnu byl nestandardizovaná regresní koeficient B = -1,416 (p = 0,045) u žen a u mužů konzumujících alkohol tři nebo čtyři dny v týdnu B = -1,128 (p = 0,002). Title: Association between alcohol use and semantic verbal fluency in older adults over 65 years of age Objectives: To determine the association between alcohol consumption and one of the memory components - semantic verbal fluency in older adults over 65 years. Methods: This diploma thesis was carried out as the secondary analysis of data from an international cross-sectional study, which was a part of the Survey of Health Aging and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) project. For the purposes of this thesis, the participants were divided into six categories according to their education levels, and sex. Generalized linear models were calculated for each of the categories separately. Results: A total of 41,224 participants average age 75.1 ± 7.4 years were included in the survey, out of them 22,737 were women and 18,487 were men. 83.0% of participants reported no consumption any alcohol during the last three months prior to testing. More frequent alcohol consumption was associated with lower performance in the semantic verbal fluency test in the several categories according to education (p<0.001).
