Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem přechodu osob s mentálním postižením ze školy do dospělého života. Cílem je porozumět tomuto procesu a faktorům, které ho ovlivňují, dále zjistit, jak respondenti vnímají úspěšný přechod a co k němu vede. V práci jsou popsána teoretická východiska týkající se přechodu osob mentálním postižením do dospělosti. Uvedena je definice procesu přechodu, jeho plánování a oblasti. Popsána je dostupná podpora v České republice, problematika sebeurčení a role rodiny během přechodového období. V další části je definována dospělost, její období a specifika u osob s mentálním postižením. Výzkumné šetření bylo provedeno v rámci projektu PEDAL. Byla zvolena kvalitativní strategie výzkumu a metoda diskuse ohniskových skupin. Respondenty šetření bylo pět pedagogických pracovníků škol dle § 16 odst. 9, školského zákona, vzdělávající žáky a studenty s mentálním postižením v posledních dvou až třech letech školní docházky. Prostřednictvím tematické analýzy byla definována čtyři témata a několik subtémat, která reagovala na výzkumné otázky. Bylo zjištěno, že plánování přechodu během školní docházky má mnoho podob a podílí se na něm mnoho subjektů. Velký vliv má okolí jedince, především pak jeho rodina. The thesis deals with the topic of the transition of people with intellectual disabilities from school to adult life. The aim is to understand this process and the factors that influence it, to find out how respondents perceive a successful transition and what leads to it. The theoretical background regarding the transition of persons with intellectual disabilities to adulthood is described. A definition of the transition process, its planning and domains are given. The available support in the Czech Republic, the issue of self-determination and the role of the family during the transition period are described. In the next section, adulthood, its periods and specifics for persons with intellectual disabilities are defined. The research was carried out within the PEDAL project. A qualitative research strategy and a focus group discussion method were chosen. The respondents of the survey were five pedagogical workers of schools according to Section 16 (9) educating pupils and students with intellectual disabilities in the last two to three years of schooling. Through thematic analysis, four themes and several sub-themes were defined to address the research questions.
