Projekt 2579 m pracuje s kontextem parcely ve vnitrobloku. Divadlo, proluka, pěší trasa, parkoviště a zeleň včetně uživatelů, které na sebe vážou, jsou elementy tvořící funkční organismus, jehož je řešená parcela součástí. Po posouzení kvality jeho funkčnosti vyvstává otázka, do jaké míry dokáže intervence v měřítku jednoho domu ovlivnit rigidní program vnitrobloku, jenž byl organicky formován desetiletí. Zlepšit, rozšířit, nebo změnit? Vzniklá architektura ovlivňuje prostředí, do kterého je vkládaná, a stejně tak je jím i ovlivňována. Jak budou silné, a jakým směrem se tyto vlivy vyvinou můžeme moderovat pouze částečně. Architektura není o nalezení řešení, architektura je reakcí na konkrétní situace. Návrh tedy nehledá cesty, jak jednotlivé elementy funkčně měnit, ale jak je prostorově rozvíjet a zkvalitňovat v zájmu celého organismu vnitrobloku. Následuje již vytyčené zjednodušené geometrie, v nichž se funkce odehrávají, jakými jsou vektory a plochy, které respektuje, zachovává, rozšiřuje a propojuje. Samotný objekt domu se zabývá bydlením v kontextu aktuálního vývoje a jeho otázek. Využívané a vlastněné, individuální a utilitární, dokončené a otevřené, udržitelné a velkorysé, venkovské a městské,… A další hesla provázela proces jenž vedl k vytvoření pevné deskové struktury s vloženými objemy pro bydlení a jiné funkce, umožňující budoucí změnu využití bez nutnosti zasahovat do statiky. Narozdíl od metabolistické myšlenky unifikovaných prefabrikovaných buněk je proměna vložených objemů realizována civilně in situ.
The 2579 m project works with the context of the plot in the courtyard. The theatre, the blank space, the pedestrian route, the parking lot and the greenery, including the users, are elements that form a functional organism of which the designed plot is a part. After assessing the quality of its functionality, the question arises to what extent an intervention on the scale of a single house can affect the rigid program of an inner courtyard that has been organically shaped over decades. Improve, expand or change? The resulting architecture influences the environment into which it is inserted, and is equally influenced by it. How strong these influences will be, and in what direction they will evolve, we can only partially moderate. Architecture is not about finding solutions, architecture is a response to specific situations. The design therefore does not look for ways to change the individual elements functionally, but for ways to develop and improve them spatially in the interest of the whole organism of the courtyard. It follows the already laid out simplified geometries in which the functions take place, such as vectors and surfaces, which it respects, preserves, extends and connects. The object of the house itself deals with housing in the context of current development and its issues. Used and owned, individual and utilitarian, finished and open, sustainable and generous, rural and urban,... And other slogans have guided the process that has led to the creation of a solid slab structure with embedded volumes for housing and other functions, allowing for future changes of use without the need to interfere with the structure. Unlike the metabolic idea of unified prefabricated cells, the transformation of the embedded volumes is carried out civilly in situ.
