Techniky plicní rehabilitace a respirační fyzioterapie jsou důležitým prvkem terapie u pacientů s chronickým respiračním onemocněním. Během covidové pandemie však vyšlo najevo, že by tyto metody mohly mít pozitivní účinky i při léčbě dlouhotrvajících postcovidových příznaků. Tato diplomová práce proto stručně shrnuje přetrvávající symptomy způsobené onemocněním COVID-19, a dále se soustředí především na benefity plicní rehabilitace a respirační fyzioterapie a správném provádění těchto technik na jednotkách intenzivní péče. Přestože jsou ve zdravotnických zařízeních s pacienty v největším kontaktu sestry, jejich znalosti a dovednosti jsou nedostačující a povědomí o této problematice často minimální. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je tedy sumarizace technik plicní rehabilitace a respirační fyzioterapie, popis výkonů a benefitů konkrétních metod, které může s pacienty, kromě fyzioterapeutů, provádět i ošetřovatelský personál. Tato role je nesmírně důležitá, protože právě sestry mohou zajistit potřebnou pravidelnost a cvičení, a tím zajistit, aby terapie přinesla očekávané pozitivní výsledky. Z toho důvodu byl vytvořen Manuál plicní rehabilitace a respirační fyzioterapie pro ošetřovatelský personál. Pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy techniques are an important element of therapy in patients with chronic respiratory disease. However, during the covid pandemic, it turned out that these methods could have positive effects in the treatment of the long-lasting post-covid symptoms. Therefore, this thesis briefly summarizes the persistent symptoms caused by the COVID-19, and further focuses primarily on the benefits of the pulmonary rehabilitation and the respiratory physiotherapy. It also focuses on the proper implementation of these techniques in intensive care units. Although nurses are most often in contact with patients in healthcare facilities, their knowledge and skills are often insufficient and awareness of this issue is often minimal. The aim of this master thesis is to summarize the techniques of the pulmonary rehabilitation and the respiratory physiotherapy, a description of the procedure and benefits of specific methods that can be performed with patients by nursing staff in addition to the work of physiotherapist. This role is extremely important because it is the nurses who can provide the necessary regularity of exercise, thus ensuring that the therapy brings the expected positive results.
