V několika posledních letech došlo k výraznému rozšíření automatických stanic s měřením sněhu. Současně jsou prováděna expediční měření za účelem zpřesnění úhrnů zimních srážek a charakteristik sněhu. Na základě těchto aktivit a poznatků jsou kromě aktualizace databáze příslušných dat vytvářeny mapy srážek a sněhové pokrývky pro oblast Šumavy, jejichž představení je náplní příspěvku. Substantial extension of the automatic station with the snow monitoring arises during last years. Expeditionary field measurements have been simultaneously worked out in order to give precision of winter precipitation totals and snow characteristics. Based on these activities and findings, besides the actualization of the relevant data, maps of rainfall and snow cover are created and they are presented in this contribution.
