Diplomová práce Východní politika Jana Lucemburského: Český král a jeho vztahy s Řádem německých rytířů se zabývá diplomatickými vztahy českého krále Jana Lucemburského s Řádem německých rytířů v Prusích v kontextu směřování Janovy politiky vůči zemím, ležícím za východními hranicemi Českého království. Obsah práce je vymezen lety 1320, kdy došlo k prvnímu většímu zásahu českého krále do východních záležitostí a rokem 1346, kdy Jan Lucemburský zemřel. Práce navazuje tematicky na bakalářskou práci Křížové výpravy Jana Lucemburského do Pobaltí. Vychází zejména z poznatků starší německé, české, ale i soudobé historiografie a komparace jejích hypotéz a závěrů s přihlédnutím k analýze pramenů. Jejím cílem je revidovat dosavadní poznání v oblasti Janova východního působení, zejména jeho neochvějné spojenectví s Řádem německých rytířů. Diploma thesis The eastern Policy of John of Bohemia: Czech King and his Relations to the Teutonic Order deals with diplomatic relations of the Czech king John of Bohemia to the Teutonic order in Prussia in the context of kings eastern-policy. The content of this thesis is delimited by year 1320, when the first intervention of czech king occured in given region and year 1346, when John of Bohemia died. The Thesis proceeds from knowledge of modern and older historiography and comparison of its hypotheses and conclusions with reflection of analysis of sources. The goal of this diploma is to revise the present knowledge of Johns eastern influence, especially his unshakeable alliance with the Teutonic order.
