Východiska: Užívání návykových látek u osob páchajících trestnou činnost je dlouhodobě významným tématem. Vězeňská služba ČR (VSČR) od roku 2016 zřizuje pozici adiktologa, který má ve věznicích poskytovat odbornou adiktologickou péči s využitím stejných intervencí a postupů, které se využívají v civilních zařízeních. Pozice je zařazena pod zdravotnické služby, ale předpokládá se úzká spolupráce s výkonem trestu a výkonem vazby. Podmínky pro výkon práce se odvíjí od specifik jednotlivých věznic. Cíle: Výzkum mapuje současnou situaci adiktologů zaměstnaných ve Vězeňské službě ČR. Pomocí dílčích cílů se autorka snažila zjistit charakteristiky lidí, kteří pracují na pozici adiktologů ve VSČR, popsat jejich činnost v systému Vězeňské služby a zjistit pohled adiktologů na to, jaké vnímají možnosti a meze, které s sebou tato pozice přináší. Metody: Základní soubor byl vybrán metodou totálního výběru. Osloveno bylo všech 10 pracovníků, kteří byli v době konání výzkumu zaměstnáni ve VSČR na pozici Adiktolog. Výzkumný soubor byl tvořen 8 pracovníky, kteří měli zájem se do výzkumu zapojit. Ke sběru dat bylo využito kvalitativní metody polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, které probíhaly přes online komunikační nástroje nebo telefonicky. Data byla zpracována metodou otevřeného kódování a vyhodnocena metodou prostého... Background: Substance use among people commiting crime has been an important issue for a long time. Since 2016, the Czech Prison Service (VSČR) has established the position of an addictionologist to provide expert addiction care in prisons using the same interventions and procedures that are used in civilian facilities. The position is classified under health services, but is expected to work closely with correctional and detention services. The conditions of work depend on each prison specifics. Aims: The research describes actual situation of addictologists employed in the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. Using sub-objectives, the author tried to find out the characteristics of people working as addictologists in the Prison Service, to describe their activities in the Prison Service system and to find out the addictologist's view on the perceived possibilities and limits of this position. Methods: The base file was selected using the total selection method. All the 10 employees who were employed in the Prison Service at the time of the research as addictocologists were contacted.
