Periferní žilní kanyly jsou nepostradatelnou součástí klinické praxe a jejich zavádění patří k nejčastějším ošetřovatelským intervencím. Z odborných studií vyplývá, že kanylace periferní žíly patří mezi rizikové výkony a nese sebou řadu komplikací. Jako nejčastější komplikace se v literatuře uvádí flebitida, dále paravazace, infiltrace a právě v prevenci a včasném odhalení těchto komplikací má sestra nezastupitelnou úlohu. Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl předložit odborné poznatky z české a zahraniční literatury ohledně Evidence-Based praxe při zavádění a péči o periferní žilní kanyly. V empirické části pomocí dotazníkového šetření zkoumá jaké jsou znalosti respondentů z řad všeobecných sester a studentů oboru všeobecného ošetřovatelství ohledně zavádění, ošetřování a prevence komplikací. Ze získaných dat porovnává odpovědi z hlediska dosaženého vzdělání a absolvování odborného kurzu či školení týkající se zavádění periferního žilního katétru. Dotazníkového šetření se zúčastnilo 86 respondentů ve Fakultní nemocnici v Motole. Dotazník zkoumal např. jaké jsou nejčastější komplikace, používání ochranných osobních pomůcek, jaké je doba výměny krytí a ponechání periferní žilní kanyly a také prevence rizika embolie. Peripheral venous cannulas are an indispensable part of clinical practice and their insertion is one of the most common nursing interventions. Review Articles show that peripheral vein cannulation is a risky procedure and carries a number of complications. The most common complications in the literature are phlebitis, paravasation, infiltration, and the nurse has an irreplaceable role in the prevention and early detection of these complications. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to present expert knowledge from Czech and foreign literature regarding Evidence-Based Practice in the insertion and care of peripheral venous cannulas. The empirical part uses a questionnaire survey to investigate the knowledge of Registered Nurse and students respondent regarding the introduction, treatment and prevention of complications. The data collected compares the responses in terms of educational attainment and completion of a professional course or training related to peripheral venous catheter insertion. 86 respondents participated in the questionnaire survey at the Motol University Hospital.
