Tato diplomová práce byla vytvořena za účelem získat a sepsat hlavní poznatky, týkající se problematiky sociální opory a jejího vlivu na školní úspěšnost studentů vybraných gymnázií, středních odborných škol a středních odborných učilišť v Plzeňském kraji. V teoretické části jsou poznatky rozděleny do tří kapitol, ve kterých jsou vymezeny základní poznatky, jež jsou opřeny o odbornou literaturu a zahraniční studie v daných oblastech. V těchto kapitolách jsou vymezeny pojmy jako sebepojetí, období dospívání, motivace, školní úspěšnost a neúspěšnost, sociální síť a tři základní složky lidského formování v podobě rodiny, školy a vrstevnické skupiny. Výzkumná část se zaměřuje na zpracování dat, jež byla získána prostřednictvím normovaného dotazníku Dotazník sociální opory pro děti a mládež (CASSS-CZ), doplněného o demografické údaje. Do dotazníkového šetření se zapojilo 310 studentů. Získaná data byla zpracována statistickými metodami korelace, popisné statistiky a statistického nástroje jednofaktorová ANOVA. Po vyhodnocení dat jsme dospěli k závěrům, že sociální opora je pro jedince a jeho školní úspěšnost důležitá. Zároveň však není její míra rozdílná s ohledem na pohlavím jedince či typ školy, kterou jedinec navštěvuje. KLÍČOVÁ SLOVA sebepojetí, dospívání, sociální opora, školní úspěšnost, motivace,... This diploma thesis was created to gain and write down the main findings about the issue of social support and its influence on the school success of students of selected grammar schools, and secondary vocational schools in Pilsen region. The findings are divided into three chapters, in which the basic findings are defined, which are based on professional literature and foreign studies in the given areas. In these chapters, concepts such as self- concept, adolescence, motivation, school success and failure, social network and three basic components of human formation in the form of family, school and peer group are defined. The research part focuses on the processing of the data, which was obtained through a standardized questionnaire, the Child and Adolescent Social Support Questionnaire (CASSS-CZ), supplemented with demographic data. There were 310 students participating in the questionnaire survey. The obtained data were processed with using the statistical method of correlation, descriptive statistics and the statistical tool of one-factor ANOVA. After analyzing the data, we concluded that social support is important for an individual and his/her school success.
