Working in the food industry is one of the basic factors which influence the level of compliance with the principles of personal hygiene. Only a small percentage of respondents working in this sector (4 %) do not know the correct hand washing technique. The current pandemic situation has led more than half of respondents (62 %) to wash their hands more often.; especially hand hygiene; is considered to be one of the most effective measures in preventing the transmission of microbial pathogens. Adherence to the principles of personal hygiene is influenced by various factors. Their knowledge can be useful in proposing strategies to improve their observance. The aim of my bachelor's thesis was to assess the knowledge and attitudes related to personal hygiene in a selected group of respondents which was based on a questionnaire survey.
