Cílem práce je analyzovat kolísání gramatického rodu na vzorku vybraných francouzských neživotných substantiv končících na -e a na neologismu covid. První, teoretická část práce definuje problematiku jmenného rodu z obecného hlediska na základě práce s gramatikami a odbornými pracemi. Druhá, empirická část se zaměří na rozbor vybraných substantiv, zejména pak na pozorování faktorů ovlivňujících kolísání, jako jsou například frekvence či původ slova. Výzkum bude proveden na jednojazyčných francouzských korpusech FRANTEXT, L'Est Républicain, Araneum Francogallicum Maius a Scientext a také na vybraných slovnících. Klíčová slova Substantivum, jmenný rod, kolísání rodu, francouzština, covid The aim of this thesis is to analyze the variation of grammatical gender on a sample of selected French inanimate nouns ending in -e and on the neologism covid. The first, theoretical part of the thesis defines the issue of nominal gender from a general point of view, based on work with grammars and scholarly works. The second, empirical part will focus on the analysis of selected nouns, in particular on the observation of factors influencing variation, such as frequency or word origin. The research will be carried out on the monolingual French corpora FRANTEXT, L'Est Républicain, Araneum Francogallicum Maius and Scientext as well as on selected dictionaries.
