Bakalářská práce se zabývá počátky suburbanizace pražské periferie v devadesátých letech dvacátého století. Na článcích z tehdejších odborných periodik demonstruje širokou podporu jejího rychlého stavebního rozvoje vycházející z uvažování předlistopadových urbanistů. Zhodnocení skutečně realizovaných suburbánních projektů ale ukazuje, že byl nástup skutečně silné suburbanizace v okolí Prahy výrazně pomalejší, než soudobí urbanisté a podnikatelé očekávali a chtěli. This thesis concerns the beginning of the suburbanisation of the periphery of Prague in the last decade of the 20th century. Based on urbanist and architectural periodicals of the time, the thesis claims a strong existing support for a substantial development of the area among the specialists, which was in accord with the ruling expert consensus from the times before the Velvet Revolution of 1989. The real suburban growth, came, however, much slower than both the urban planners and construction companies expected and wished.
