Disertační práce hledá odpověď na otázku po obsahu poněkud paradoxního sousloví "křesťanská sociologie" a konkrétně po obsahu křesťanské sociologie v koncepci olomouckého akademika první poloviny 20. století Bedřicha Vaška (1882-1959). Vzhledem k poznatkům, které přineslo samotné bádání je však zároveň původní teze doplněna otázkou, jaký je současný statut tohoto specifického oboru, nakolik se pod tímto názvem přestal pěstovat nejpozději do padesátých let 20. století. Oživení oboru v 80. letech 20. století ve zjevné reakci na metodologickou změnu II. vatikánského koncilu a nástupu postmoderní společnosti přineslo množství podnětů ke zkoumání vztahu historického fenoménu křesťanské sociologie a dnešních konceptů katolické perspektivy v sociologii, šířeji vztahu sociální nauky Církve, teologie a sociologie jak v mezinárodním, tak domácím prostředí. Specificky zvoleným metodickým postupem, jenž je kombinací studia autentických papežských dokumentů první poloviny 20. století, studia archivních materiálů vztažených k osobě Bedřicha Vaška, analýzy jeho děl a zároveň současných autorských a institucionálních výstupů nachází práce překvapivé paralely mezi historickými a současnými projekty křesťanské/katolické sociologie, ale také poukazuje na zcela nové možnosti pro propojování teologického a... The dissertation seeks an answer to the question of the content of the somewhat paradoxical phrase "Christian sociology", specifically the content of Christian sociology as conceived by the Moravian scholar of the first half of the 20th century Bedřich Vašek (1882-1959). At the same time, however, as a result of the insights brought by the research itself, the original thesis was supplemented by the question of the current state of this specific rejuvenating field. The idea of Christian sociology remained virtually dormant from the 1950s until the later 1970s. The revival of the field can be seen as an apparent response to both the methodological changes of the Second Vatican Council and the advent of postmodern society. The research has provided a wealth of stimuli for exploring the relationship between the historical phenomenon of Christian sociology and contemporary notions of the Christian or Catholic perspective in sociology and, more broadly, the relationship between the social doctrine of the Church, theology and sociology in international and domestic settings.
