(česky) Objektem zkoumání této práce jsou zvířata jako kulturní symboly v korejském folkloru. Klade si za cíl vytvořit soupis zvířat vycházející z Korejského slovníku symbolů a pochopit jejich význam v korejské lidové slovesnosti a lidové malbě. První kapitola představuje a definuje folklor, vymezuje pojmy lidové slovesnosti a minhwa a uvádí do kontextu vytváření lidové malby v období Čosŏn. Hlavní část je věnovaná popisu výskytu jednotlivých zvířat v mýtech a jiných lidových příbězích a v lidové malbě společně s jejich symbolikou a funkcí v nich. (in English): In this thesis, the research objects are animals as cultural symbols in Korean folklore. The goal is to creating a comprehensive list of animals based on the Korean dictionary of symbolism and understanding their meaning in the framework of Korean folk tales and folk painting. The first chapter introduces and defines folklore, explains the terms folk tale and minhwa and puts into context creating folk paintings in the Chosŏn period. The main part of the thesis is dedicated to the description of individual animals in folk tales and folk painting combined with their symbolism and role in them.
