Bakalářská práce Paliativní péče u osob s mentálním postižením/Historie a směřování, možnosti v ČR se zabývá situací lidí s mentálním postižením v terminálním stádiu jejich života, a to především v pobytových sociálních službách a s ohledem na kvalitu života v této jeho fázi. Důraz je kladen na naplňování potřeby komunikace netradičními způsoby, podporované rozhodování na konci života včetně předávání a přijímání špatných zpráv a naplňování duchovních potřeb. Teoretická část vymezuje téma života lidí s mentálním postižením v jeho závěrečné fázi z historického hlediska, následuje část věnující se současnému směřování této problematiky v Evropě. Další z kapitol rozebírá výzkumné aktivity věnované sdělování špatných zpráv a současné možnosti paliativní péče o osoby s mentálním postižením v ČR. Praktická část vychází z kvalitativního výzkumu. Přináší výsledky z dotazníkového šetření zkoumajícího situaci paliativní péče v domovech pro osoby se zdravotním postižením (dále DOZP) a výsledky rozhovorů se zástupci mobilních a kamenných hospiců. Výsledky poukazují na nedostatečné systémové ukotvení paliativní péče v DOZP a na potřebu zásadních změn směřujících k tomu, aby lidé s mentálním postižením mohli dožít a zemřít v místě, které dlouhodobě považují za svůj domov a aby dostupnost kvalitní paliativní péče... The bachelor thesis Palliative care for people with mental disabilities / History and direction, possibilities in the Czech Republic deals with the situation of people with mental disabilities in the terminal stage of their lives, especially in residential social services. Emphasis is placed on meeting the need for communication in non-traditional ways, supported decision-making at the end of life, including passing on and receiving bad news, and meeting spiritual needs. The theoretical part defines the issue of people with mental disabilities at the end of life from a historical point of view, followed by a part devoted to the current direction in Europe. Another of the chapters discusses the research currently being conducted on the topic of communicating bad news and the current possibilities in the Czech Republic. The practical part is based on qualitative research. It brings the results of a questionnaire survey examining the situation of palliative care in social care institutions (hereinafter DOZP) and the results of interviews with representatives of mobile and stone hospices.
