Projekt TL01000274 byl řešen od března 2018 do listopadu 2021 dvěma pracovišti, a to VŠB-TUO a Centrem akademického psaní (CAP) při Ústavu pro jazyk český, AV ČR, v.v.i. Cílem projektu bylo na VŠB-TUO vybudovat systém podpůrných mechanismů pro akademické psaní v angličtině a publikační činnost doktorandů. Tento cíl se podařilo splnit a systém má podobu blended-learningových kurzů pro doktorandy, seminářů pro školitele, dvou-semestrálního školení pro budoucí lektory a metodické příručky pro vyučující v kurzech akademického psaní/ publikační praxe. Všechny části systému jsou propojené a, mimo jiné, vedly i ke vzniku tzv. PhD Akademie (doktorské školy). Tímto byla započata cesta k systémové změně a k zavedení na VŠB-TUO dosud neexistující celouniverzitní podpory publikační činnosti doktorandů ve formě kurzů ze strany odborníků na vědecké psaní v angličtině a Ústřední knihovny VŠB-TUO. Očekáváným přínosem je zlepšení výzkumných a komunikačních dovedností doktorandů, které povedou k úspěšnější a méně bolestivé publikační činnosti a rozložení zodpovědnosti školitelů za vzdělávání doktorandů do více zdrojů. The project TL01000274 was investigated from March 2018 to November 2021 by two workplaces, VŠB-TUO and Centre for Academic Writing (CAP) with the Czech Language Institute, Czech Academy of Sciences. The goals of the project were to develop a system of supportive mechanims for academic writing and PhD student publication activities in English at VŠB-TUO. The project goals were met and the system has the form of blended-learning courses of Writing for Publication for PhD students, workshops for supervisors, two-semester teacher training and a teaching manual for future teachers in Writing for Publication courses. All the parts of the system are interconnected, and inter alia, led to the establishment of the so-called PhD Academy (doctoral school). This way, VŠB-TUO started working towards a systemic change through a university-wide support for PhD student publication activities in the form of courses provided by scientific writing specialists and also experts from the VŠB-TUO University Library. The expected outcome is improved PhD students' research and communication skills, which shall lead to less painful publication and distribution of supervisors' mentoring resposibilites among more actors.
