V předkládané bakalářské práci se pokusím souhrnně popsat životní osudy a osobnost JUDr. Rudolfa Hotowetze. Jelikož šlo o předního československého národohospodáře, důraz by měl být kladen na jeho četné aktivity ať již v pražské živnostenské a obchodní komoře, Živnostenské bance nebo jako ministra na ministerstvu obchodu. Pozornost by měla být věnována i jeho teoriím a konceptům sblížení středoevropských států nebo jeho pohledu na vývoj československého hospodářství. Zkoumané období proto bude víceméně shodné s profesním životem Rudolfa Hotowetze, tedy od 90. let 19. století do 30. let století 20., s důrazem na konec první světové války a první léta samostatné Československé republiky. Text práce bude založen zejména na výzkumu archivních pramenů z fondů Archivu Kanceláře prezidenta republiky, Živnostenské banky nebo osobního fondu Rudolfa Hotowetze v Archivu Národního technického muzea. Dále bude použita i Hotowetzova vlastní přednášková činnost. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org) In the presented bachelor's thesis I would like to describe in summary life events and personality of Rudolf Hotowetz. Because he was one of the major Czechoslovak economists, the emphasis should be put on his many activities in the Chamber of Commerce and Trade in Prague or Živnostenská banka as well on his work as the Minister for Industry and Trade. Attention should be also take on his theories and concepts of rapprochement of the Central Europe states or his point of view on the development of the Czechoslovak economy. The examined period in the thesis will bet the same as Rudolf Hotowetz's career life, from the 90's of the 19th century to the 30's of the 20th century, with emphasis on the end of world war one and on the first years of the independent Czechoslovak Republic. The text of the thesis will be based mainly on the research of archival sources from the archives of the Archiv Kanceláře prezidenta republiky, Živnostenská banka or of the personal Rudolf Hotowetz's fund in the Archiv Národního technického muzea.
