Tato diplomová práce se zabývá mediálním obrazem bourání starého města Most, výstavby nového města Most a stěhování mosteckého kostela Nanebevzetí Panny Marie. Zaměřuje se na periodika Rudé právo, Průboj, Lidová demokracie, Květy, Mladý svět a Československá televize a jejich příspěvky v letech 1963 - 1975. Celý záměr, tedy likvidace starého města Most, výstavba nového Mostu a stěhování mosteckého kostela, byl realizován v zájmu vytěžení 100 milionů tun uhlí pod starou částí města. V celosvětovém měřítku jde o bezprecedentní čin. Unikátní byl také přesun mosteckého kostela ze staré části města mimo území těžby za pomoci transportního kolejnicového systému. Cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jaký mediální obraz vytvářela o události v průběhu let zkoumaná periodika. Práce se dělí na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje východiska pro druhou část práce, tedy shrnutí historie města Most, představení zkoumaných periodik a metodologii. Praktická část práce se věnuje analýze relevantních příspěvků vybraných médií za použití historicko-srovnávací metody. This master's thesis concerns the media image of the demolition of the old city of Most, construction of the new city of Most and transportation of the church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary in Most. The thesis presents the reflection of these events in contemporary Czechoslovakian media, particularly in daily journals Rudé právo, Průboj and Lidová demokracie, weekly magazines Květy and Mladý svět and programmes of Czechoslovakian Television between 1963 and 1975. Demolition of the old city, construction on the new city and transportation of the church were made with the aim to mine 100 milions tons of coal under the old part of the city. Mentioned historical events were worldwidely unique. The goal of this thesis is to find out which kind of media image was presented in mentioned contemporary Czechoslovakian media. The thesis consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. Theoretical part offers necessary historical background, information about analyzed media and methodology. Practical part presents analysis of the articles and programmes using a comparative historical method.
