V teoretické části je zachycena problematika pacientova pojetí nemoci. Dále se věnuje samotnému onemocnění diabetes mellitus - jeho charakteristice, klinickému obrazu, diagnostice, léčbě a možným komplikacím. Další část je zaměřena na obecnou edukaci a poslední oblast se týká specifické edukace v diabetologii. Empirická část se opírá o výsledky kvantitativního standardizovaného dotazníku IPQ-R-CZ. Pro výzkum byla použita rozšířená verze. Na výzkumném šetření se celkově podílelo 50 respondentů s diabetem mellitem, konkrétně s podtypem MODY. Dotazník zjišťuje pojetí nemoci, symptomy, pacientův názor na nemoc a možné příčiny vzniku tohoto onemocnění. Výsledky byly porovnány s jinými výzkumnými studiemi a implementovány do edukačního procesu. The problematics of the patient's conception of the illness is captured in theoretical part of the thesis. Theoretical part also deals with the illness Diabetes mellitus itself - its characteristics, clinical view, diagnostics, treatment, and possible complications. Next part is focused on general education and the last part describes specific education process in diabetology. Empiric part of the thesis relies on quantitative standardized questionnaire IPQ-R-CZ results. The expanded version was used for this research. 50 respondents in total suffering from Diabetes mellitus were part of the research, more specifically patients with MODY subtype.
