V této bakalářské práci se zabývám především plastikami Hérakla v exteriérech vybraných barokních zámků dnešního Ústeckého a Středočeského kraje České republiky. Za cíl práce si kladu sehnat dokumentaci týkající se výzdoby jednotlivých zámků a na jejich základě dále interpretovat zvláště sochařská díla ztvárňující tohoto poloboha, případně některé další sochy nacházející se ve vybraných zámeckých areálech. Dále se zabývám otázkou, jakým způsobem je tento hrdina nejčastěji zobrazován a jakou má plnit v dotyčných areálech funkci. Práce se sestává z teoretické a výzkumné části. V teoretické části se zabývám představením Hérakla v rámci řeckořímské mytologie a charakteristikou baroka a jeho odrazem v uměleckých odvětvích, jako je architektura, hudba, sochařství, literatura a malířství. Ve výzkumné části popisuji stručně historii vybraných zámků, celkovou uměleckou venkovní kompozici a dále sleduji přesnější datace vzniku sochařských děl zobrazujících tohoto hrdinu, jejich autory, využité materiály a zpracování. K výzkumu mi posloužily především rady pracovníků jednotlivých institucí, navštívení zámeckých parků a vlastní fotografická dokumentace, díky které jsem mohla provést deskripci a komparaci jednotlivých děl. Dále jsem využila sekundární literatury, zvláště pak Řecké mýty od Roberta Gravese a... The immediate purpose of writing this thesis is to explore the sculptures of Heracles outside of the selected Baroque castles in the contemporary Ústí nad Labem Region and in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. For this assignment, I have aimed to obtain documentation concerning the decor of individual castles, based on which I further interpret sculptural works, particularly depicting this demigod, and exceptionally several other sculptures located on selected castle grounds. In addition, I also address the question of how this hero is most often depicted and what its function in the concerned areas should be. There are two parts to the final assignment- a theoretical part and a research part. In the theoretical part, I deal with the introduction of Heracles in Graeco-Roman mythology, as well as the characteristics of Baroque and its reflection in arts such as architecture, music, sculpture, literature and painting. As research methods, I chose interviews with employees of individual institutions and documentation analysis.
