Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem zobrazování novozákonních a starozákonních motivů v českém výtvarném umění ve 40. a 50. letech 20. století, jež jsou dále sledovány ve dvou časových liniích. První mapuje období od počátku druhé světové války do roku 1948, druhá časová linie sleduje období od roku 1948 do roku 1960. Text se pokouší o zachycení biblických motivů, které se ve sledovaném období objevovaly v dílech umělců nejčastěji, se snahou o reflexi jejich výběru konkrétním autorem. Pozornost je tak věnována umělcům, pro které znamenaly náboženské motivy celoživotní inspiraci, i výtvarníkům, pro něž tato tematika představovala krátký úsek v jejich tvorbě. Klíčová slova biblické náměty, Starý zákon, Nový zákon, ukřižování The thesis deals with the topic of the representation of the Christian themes in the Old and New Testament in the Czech art in the forties and fifties of the twentieth century. There are two time spans that are observed. The first one begins with the commencement of the Second World War and ends in 1948. The second period dates from 1948 until 1960. The text attempts to capture the biblical motifs that appeared most frequently in the works of artists during the 1940s and 1950s. Furthermore, it tries to explain why authors chose the given biblical motifs. This work is dedicated to the artists who were working with the Christian themes for their whole life as well as to those whose works were influenced by these subjects for only a short period of time.
