Bakalářská práce "Česká alternativní kultura v období normalizace a její obraz v dobových médiích v letech 1983-1987" se zaměřuje mediální reprezentaci alternativní kultury, tedy té části kulturní scény minulého režimu, která byla buď přímo vytlačována, nebo se sama vědomě nezačleňovala do "hlavního proudu." V první části se vedle nastínění dobového kontextu zabývá popisem této oblasti kultury, a to nejen v rovině neoficiální (tzv. undergroundové), ale i v rovině oficiální či polooficiální alternativy vůči idealizovanému hlavnímu a protěžovanému proudu kultury. V druhé části se práce soustředí na reflektování alternativní kultury soudobými médii na příkladu vybraných periodik. Výzkumnou metodou je kvalitativní analýza a výzkumným materiálem pak periodika Rudé právo, Tribuna, Mladá fronta, Melodie a Tvorba za vymezené období let 1983-1987. Práce se zaměřuje z největší části na hudební alternativní scénu, přednostně pak na jev, který se dá nazvat pokusem o likvidaci nové vlny v rockové hudbě, který se ve výzkumu ukazuje být jediným otevřeným mediálním útokem na alternativní kulturu ve vymezeném období. Výzkum dále odkrývá určité rozdíly ve způsobu o informování o alternativní kultuře v jednotlivých zkoumaných periodikách, stejně tak určité jeho proměny v průběhu vymezeného zkoumaného období. The bachelor thesis "The Czech Counterculture and Its Media Representation in the Period of 1983-1987" analyses the media coverage of that part of culture of the communist regime which was set aside from the propagandized main stream - either systematically by the regime or purposely by its performers. In the first part of the thesis, besides the outlining of the era of normalization and its media, there is a description of this type of culture, both in its illegal way (so called underground culture) and its official way of providing an alternative to the main stream. In the second part, the thesis is focused on following how the media reflected the alternative culture, using the chosen periodicals as an exemplar. The method of the research uses qualitative analysis and the research material consists of periodicals Rudé právo, Tribuna, Mladá fronta, Melodie a Tvorba in the period of the years 1983-1987. The thesis concentrates mainly on music, especially on the special phenomenon, which can be called the "New wave disruption effort." Other concerned issues and revealed facts in this thesis are definite differences about the way of media coverage of alternative culture between the single chosen periodicals, and also the transformation of the way of representation during the studied period.
