Ve své práci popisuji vývoj a symboliku kultu Velké Bohyně, který provází lidstvo již od jeho počátku, od pravěku v podobě Venuší, ale i abstraktních zobrazení, přes bohyně starověkých panteonů až po Marii, Matku Boží. Zdůrazňuji zde nepochybnou kontinuitu tohoto vývoje, který je zřejmý např. ze synkretických náboženství helénistické doby, křesťanství nevyjímaje. Kult Bohyně v sobě odráží hlubokou symboliku narození, života, smrti a znovuobnovení, se kterou je víra v BohyniŽenu -Pannu- Matku od počátku spjata. Ve své práci neopomínám ani aspekt (hlubinně) psychologický, tedy bohyně jako projekce archetypu matky a animy, ale ani sociologický, konkrétně jaký vliv měla víra na postavení ženy ve společnosti. The cult of Goddess is known from the beginning of human race and it continues in nowadays. It involves the Paleolithic Venuses, goddesses from ancient pantheons, who were transformed in a cult of Mary in Hellenistic syncretism. This cult is connected with a deep symbolism of a birth giving, life, death and rebirth. It contains psychological aspect, where the goddesses are thought as projections of archetypes of mother and Anima and also the sociological aspects of women status in these cultures and societies.
