Název práce: Nadváha a obezita u dětí staršího školního věku a možnosti ovlivnění Cíle práce: Shrnutí poznatků o civilizační nemoci zvaná obezita, získání informací o pohybové aktivitě. Možnost ovlivnění a působení na děti staršího školního věku. Interpretace určitých informací o součastném životním stylu dětí a pohybové aktivitě u nás. Metoda: Informace byly získávány studiem odborné literatury a čerpáním z internetových zdrojů. Výsledky: Z níže uvedených fakt vyplívá, že na vzniku nadváhy a obezity u dětí staršího školního věku se podílí mnoho faktorů včetně snížené pohybové aktivity, která má zásadní vliv na prevalenci neinfekčních civilizačních chorob. Pohybová aktivita je tedy nejjednodušší a nejúčinnější formou prevence v boji proti nadváze, obezitě a dalším civilizačním chorobám.
