Ženská práva v islámském světě jsou diskutabilním tématem. Často nejsou brány v úvahu značné rozdíly mezi jednotlivými zeměmi a regiony a jsou opomíjeny mnohé příčiny a souvislosti, které ženám životní podmínky tvoří. Předložená bakalářská práce si klade za cíl představit postavení žen na Středním východě na základě statistických dat v porovnání s muži. Druhá část práce má tyto výsledky konfrontovat s pocity a názory pracovníků českých neziskových organizací, kteří Střední východ navštívili. Postupně jsou prezentována ženská ekonomická práva, občanská práva, politická práva, vzdělání a zdraví ve 21 vybraných zemí tohoto regionu, společně s interpretací možných faktorů a příčin omezení ženských práv. Significant differences between individual countries and regions are often not taken into account and many reasons and factors that generate such conditions for women are being neglected. This presented bachelor thesis aims at presenting the status of women in the Middle East on the basis of statistical data in comparison with men. The second part intends to confront these results with the feelings and opinions of employs of Czech non-governmental organisations who visited the Middle East. The thesis presents economic rights, civil rights, political rights, education and health of women in 21 selected countries of the region, together with the interpretation of possible causes and factors limiting women's rights.
