cze Abstract:
[cze][eng] Tato diplomová práce zpracovává ucelenou monografii města Most. Práce kromě dostupné literatury a archivních pramenů vychází rovněž z vlastního empirického terénního šetření, provedeného s využitím kvantitativních i kvalitativních metod. This paper focuses on a compact monograph of the city of Most. It concentrates on the basic questions related to a city as a complex cultural phenomenon: What are the impacts on urban settlement when it is relocated from the original landscape and the historical centre is destroyed; if the completely modern building area is able to fulfill the functions of the original city; what is the degree of identification of the inhabitants with the city and what is the overall loss of continuity of the city's development. Apart from available literature and archival sources, the paper employs also own empirical research, carried out using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
