Bakalářská práce Počátky české detektivky se zabývá českým detektivním žánrem především v jeho počátcích. Obsahuje teoretickou část, která nabízí definice detektivního žánru. Další část sleduje vývoj detektivky. Zde je stručně shrnuta historie žánru ve světové literatuře, hlavní pozornost se ale soustředí na českou detektivní tvorbu. Poslední část se věnuje konkrétním autorům, kteří měli klíčovou roli při formování žánru v českém prostředí. Práce sleduje vývoj detektivního žánru od počátku dvacátého století po šedesátá léta, jeho možné inspirační zdroje a vliv anglo-americké detektivní literatury. Obsahuje rozbor detektivních próz Karla Čapka, Emila Vachka, Eduarda Fikera, Jana Zábrany a Josefa Škvoreckého a popisuje, jakým způsobem přispěli k formování české detektivní literatury. Některá z jejich detektivních děl rozebírá více, soustředí se především na styl vyprávění a postavy detektiva a detektivova pomocníka. Abstact This bachelor thesis called Origin of the Czech Detective novel focuses on the genre of the Czech Detective novel in the beginning of its formation. The thesis includes the theoretical part which is an attempt to provide some definitions of the detective genre. The following part describes an evolution of the detective novel. It includes summarized history of the genre in international literature but is concentrated mostly on the Czech Detective fiction. Last part analyses the work of some specific authors who had crucial impact on the genre development in the Czech area. The thesis follows how the Czech Detective novel was evolving since the beginning of the twentieth century till 1960ˈs, its source of literal inspiration and the impact of Anglo-American Detective fiction. The work also analysis some Detective novels of Karel Čapek, Emil Vachek, Eduard Fiker, Jan Zábrana and Josef Škvorecký and describes their contribution to development of the Czech Detective novel. Some of their works are analysed more, it is focused mainly on the style of narration and the figures of detective and his assistant.
