Moderní český novozákonní překlad (Nové zákony dvacátého století před Českým ekumenickým překladem) Modern Czech New Testament Translations (The 20th Century New Testaments before the Czech Ecumenical Translation) Josef Bartoň Biblický překlad představuje mimořádně významný fenomén v kulturním a duchovním životě českého národa a je nepřehlédnutelným plodem i neodmyslitelnou součástí české teologické práce od počátku křesťanství u nás až do současnosti. Zájem badatelů se nicméně doposud soustředil především na staročeské a starší české biblické překlady a tomuto tématu byla také zasvěcena řada dílčích studií i několik souhrnných monografií.1 Víceméně stranou zatím zůstávají biblické překlady devatenáctého a dvacátého století (i nejčerstvější překladatelské pokusy podniknuté po roce 2000). Soustavné a hlubší souborné zpracování moderních českých novozákonních překladů2 dosud chybí Tato studie si vytkla za cíl poprvé podrobněji zmapovat české překládání Nového zákona v období po roce 1900 a před zahájením prací na Českém ekumenickém překladu (1961). 1 Zásadní monografii k dějinám starých a starších českých novozákonních, resp. biblických překladů (která se soustředí nejvíce na dějiny textu) předložil Vladimír KYAS, Česká bible v dějinách národního písemnictví. Moderní český novozákonní překlad (Nové zákony dvacátého století před Českým ekumenickým překladem) Modern Czech New Testament Translations (The 20th Century New Testaments before the Czech Ecumenical Translation) PhDr. Josef Bartoň Although a scriptural translation is an important phenomenon in the cultural and spiritual life of the Czech nation and also a part of the Czech theological work from the beginning of Christiantity in the Czech lands to the present time, the work that can be hardly overlooked, the research interest had focused primarily on the older period. Biblical translations from the 19th and 20th centuries are not accounted for (nor the most recent attempts made after 2000). The present study set as its goal a characterization in a more detailed way Czech translations of the New Testament since 1900 and before the work on the Czech ecumenical translation started in 1961.
