Bakalářská práce Čeští králové očima Otachera Štýrského se zabývá náhledem kronikáře, který byl příslušníkem nižší štýrské šlechty, na české krále Přemysla Otakara II. a Václava II. Kvůli obsáhlosti kroniky (na 98 000 veršů ve střední horní němčině) si práce klade za úkol přiblížit Otacherovo vnímání pouze výše jmenovaných českých králů na příkladě dvorských slavností, a to zásnub a svateb Přemysla Otakara II. s Markétou Babenberskou, Kunhuty Braniborské a Bély Uherského, na které byl Přemysl Otakar II. také přítomen. Další zkoumané festivity jsou svatba Václava II. s Jitkou-Gutou Habsburskou, pražská korunovace Václava II. a říšský sněmu v Norimberku dne 16. listopadu 1298. Pro objasnění širšího kontextu jsou do bakalářské práce zahrnuty kapitoly věnující se osobnosti samotného Otachera Štýrského a fenoménu veršovaných kronika na přelomu 13. a 14. století. Práce si klade za cíl zodpovědět otázku, jak Otacher Štýrský vnímá určité slavnosti a jaký jim ve svém vyprávění vytváří obraz. Kronikář nevěnuje všem výše jmenovaným slavnostem stejnou pozornost. U svatby Přemysla Otakara II. podává "pouhou" zprávu bez jakýchkoliv podrobností. Touto Otacherovou záměrnou stručností lze podepřít všeobecně uznávanou tezi, že Přemysl Otakar II. nebyl v očích autora kroniky, ale s nejvyšší pravděpodobností i... The bachelor thesis The Czech Kings in the View of Otocher of Styria deals with a chronicler, member of a Styrian lower nobility, and his view on the Czech kings Přemysl Otakar II. and Václav II. due to a monumentality of this Chronicle (nearly 98 000 verses in the middle high German). These thesis focuses on the Otochar's view on this two Czech kings in the examples of courteous festivities - the wedding of Ottokar II. of Bohemia and Margaret of Austria, Kunigunde of Brandenburg and Béla of Hungary, where was Ottokar II. of Bohemia as well. Others examples are wedding of Wenceslaus II. of Bohemia and Judith of Habsburg, the coronation of Wenceslaus II. in Prague and the Imperial Diet in Nuremberg at 16th November 1298. For a better explanation of the context, this thesis contains chapters about personality of Otochar of Styria and about the phenomenon of verse chroniks at the turn of thirteenth and fourteenth century. This thesis focuses to answer the question about Otacher's reception of some festivities and due to the question about picture of this festivities as well. Otacher of Styria doesn't focus on each of these festivity in the same intensity. In the case of the wedding of Ottokar II. of Bohemia, Otochar of Styria wrote a only short message.
