Klíčová výzkumná otázka pro mou bakalářkou práci se zabývá problémem, jak velký vliv má mediální obraz lídra politické strany na její úspěch ve volební kampani a následných volbách. Tuto otázku se pokusím zodpovědět na případu Jiřího Paroubka, který byl lídrem České strany sociálně demokratické ve volbách do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu České republiky v roce 2006. Rozhodl jsem se ověřit teorie, které se problematikou personalizace lídra a volební kampaně zabývají. Následně provedu výzkum dvou nejznámějších tiskovin z pravého i levého politického spektra, abych zjistil, jaký byl před volbami mediální obraz Jiřího Paroubka a České strany sociálně demokratické v těchto dvou novinách. Výsledky výzkumu porovnám s předvolebními průzkumy a výsledky voleb. Ověřím, zda mediální obraz Jiřího Paroubka byl skutečně jiný než ČSSD a zda to mělo vliv na volební úspěch. Ověřím tak platnost několika teorií, které roli lídra přikládají velký vliv na úspěch strany. The key research question for my bachelor thesis deals with the problem of how great is the media image influence of the leader of a political party on the success in the elections. I will try to answer this question in the case of Jiri Paroubek, who was the leader of the Czech Social Democratic Party in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in 2006. I decided to verify these theories, that explain the issue of leader and election campaign personalization. Then I carried out my research on two of the most famous newspapers on the right and left of the political spectrum: finding out how positive or negative was before the election the media image of Jiri Paroubek and Czech Social Democratic Party in these two newspapers. The research results are then compared with the pre-election opinion polls and election results and verified, if the media image of Jiri Paroubek was really different from his political party and whether it had an impact on the electoral success. It could help verify the validity of several theories, that leadership attributes of the leader have the great influence on the success of his party.
