Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá národními mýty národů, žijících v oblasti jižního Kavkazu, resp. na území státu Gruzie. Národní mýty hrají důležitou roli při legitimizaci státních útvarů či územních nároků separatistických menšin. Hlavním cílem této práce je prozkoumat gruzínské národní mýty a následně je porovnat s mýty národních hnutí menších národů (Abcházů, Osetů a Adžarů). V první části této práce (kap. 2 a 3) jsou definovány základní pojmy, která jsou následně uplatňovány v druhé části (kap. 4 a 5), která se zaměřuje na konkrétní mýty těchto národů, a v jejímž závěru jsou umístěny také tabulky, shrnující dosažené poznatky. Východiskem práce je předpoklad, že nacionalismus a národ jsou moderními fenomény, které se vyvinuly až v souvislosti s industrializací - v této oblasti v průběhu 19. století. Na základě toho se budu snažit zpochybnit údajnou historičnost (gruzínského) národa. Ta říká, že gruzínský národ má kořeny již ve starověku a na základě této údajné starobylosti odůvodňuje právo Gruzínců na vlastní stát. Zároveň však odmítá uznat právo na sebeurčení menších národů, žijících na území Gruzie - zejména Abcházů a Jižních Osetů. This bachelor thesis is concerned with national myths of nations living in the region of Southern Caucasus, in the territory of Georgia, respectively. National myths play an important role in legitimacy of states and territorial claims of separatist minorities. The main objective of this work is to study Georgian national myths and consequently to compare them to the myths of national movements of smaller nations (Abkhazians, Ossetians, and Adjarians). The basic notions used are defined in the first part of the work (Chapters 2 and 3). The second part (Chapters 4 and 5) is focused on concrete myths of these nations. Conclusions of second part are illustrated by tables, summarizing attained findings. The work is based on premise that the conceptions of nationalism and the nation are modern phenomenons, developed as late as in the connection with industrialism - in the region in question it means within 19th century - whereupon I will seek to impugn supposed historicity of (Georgian) nation.
