Celá práce je zaměřena na pojem informace (klasické chápání informace - to, jak informaci chápe informační věda, informace z pohledu média knihy), dále se práce věnuje charakteristice historickému filmu a jeho informačnímu významu z pohledu diváka. Jako předmět zkoumání, na kterém budou teze a případné závěry demonstrovány, byl vybrán významný anglický panovník Jindřich VIII. Tento panovník byl vděčným námětem pro mnoho filmových i knižních děl. Tato práce bude zaostřena především na historickou přesnost knih a filmů, bibliografické porovnání knižní a filmové produkce literárních děl a srovnání informačního významu obou médií. Práce se také zabývá obecným pohledem na vnímání filmů a komparaci informačních hodnot filmu a knihy jakožto média. V závěru se tato práce pokusí ukázat, zda jsou zkoumaná díla kvalitním a přesným zdrojem informací. The bachelor thesis focus on the definition of information (the importance of information in general, information in books), then it will consider the characteristics of the film and its historical significance from the perspective of the viewer. As the subject of examination, on which the thoughts and findings will be demonstrated, is chosen the important English King- Henry VIII., who has been depicted in many movies and about whom there were written many books as well. Primarily the bachelor work focus on the historical accuracy of the movies and books, the comparison of the importance of both the media (what information value both media provide). The bachelor thesis also aims on the general perception of movies and whether the examined work are quality and accurate source of information. In conclusion, there will be the comparison of the information value of these two selected media.
