Kategorie etnicita, příp. romství nás mohou vést k zamlžení celého tématu, jelikož vyvolávají dojem, že sociálně vyloučení jsou zvláštní a nepoznatelní. Proto je velmi důležité tyto kategorie používat jasně a konkrétně. O to se snažím i v této práci. Teoretická část je rozdělena na tři hlavní celky, a to: dynamický model praxe, kulturně senzitivní sociální práce a kapitola s názvem Romové. V první části dynamického modelu se snažím nahlédnout na praktickou realizaci sociální práce tak, jak ji popisuje Karen Healy (od str. 10 dál). Zároveň se zde zabývám oblastmi, které ovlivňují interakce mezi sociálním pracovníkem a jeho klientem. Středem dynamického modelu jsou profesní cíle, které jsou tvořeny čtyřmi oblastmi: institucionálním kontextem, potřebami a očekáváními uživatelů služeb a komunity, profesním základem a tvořícím se rámcem pro praxi, který se vyvíjí skrze kritickou reflexi profesionálních zkušeností. Tyto čtyři prvky spolu dále komunikují v rámci profesního cíle. Do této velké kapitoly jsem zařadila také podkapitolu, kde se snažím vymezit sociální práci a její vztah k sociálním službám (str. 19). V další kapitole jsem popsala kulturně senzitivní sociální práci (od str. 25), na které by měla být stavěna profese sociálního pracovníka. Zabývám se zde také etnizujícím přístupem (str. 31),... The categories of 'ethnicity' or 'Roma' could obscure the whole topic, as they may suggest an idea that the socially excluded are somehow special or unrecognizable. It is therefore very important to use these categories clearly and specifically. That is what I am trying to do in this thesis. The theoretical part is divided into three main parts: the dynamic model of practice, culturally sensitive social work and the chapter entitled Roma. In the first part, the dynamic model, I try to have a look at the practical implementation of social work as described by Karen Healy (from page 10 onwards). I also explore the areas that influence the interactions between the social worker and their client. The dynamic model is focused on professional goals, which are made up of four areas: the institutional context, the needs and expectations of the service users and the community, the professional foundation, and an emerging framework for practice that develops through critical reflection on professional experience. These four elements further interact within the framework of the professional goal. I have also included a subsection where I attempt to define social work and its relationship to social services (p. 19).
