Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat vývoj české péče o děti a mládež v turbulentním období mezi lety 1938 a 1948. Výzkum se opírá o sondy do tří konkrétních institucí, které zajišťovaly péči o mládež. Na regionální úrovni se jedná o Okresní péče o mládež v Benešově a v Neveklově, na celostátní úrovni o Zemské ústředí péče o mládež v Čechách. Práce si klade otázky po kontinuitách a diskontinuitách napříč třemi obdobími, které jsou v mnoha ohledech principiálně naprosto rozdílné, avšak na poli zaopatření mládeže mohou panovat překvapující podobnosti. Skrze pozorování personálních kontinuit, praxe biopolitiky či dlouhodobé centralizace a nacionalizace péče o děti a mládež tak lze nahlédnout nejen vývoj péče samotné, ale i proměny myšlenkového světa obyvatel druhé československé republiky, Protektorátu Čechy a Morava a třetí republiky. The bachelor thesis aims to describe the development of the Czech child care system in the turbulent period between 1938 and 1948. The research is based on archival probes into three particular institutions, which provided care of young people. At the regional level, research focuses on District Youth Care (Okresní péče o mládež) in Benešov and Neveklov, at the national level, the Czech Land Youth Care Center (Zemské ústředí péče o mládež v Čechách). The thesis asks questions about continuities and discontinuities across three periods, which are fundamentally different in many aspects, but there are surprising similarities in the field of children care. Through the observation of personnel continuities, the practice of biopolitics or long-term process of centralization and nationalization of child care system, we can uncover not only the development of the care system but also changes in the world of thoughts of the inhabitants of Czech lands during the Second Czechoslovak Republic, the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and the Third Republic.
