Cílem předkládané práce je zjistit úroveň informovanosti kojících žen o přínosech kojení. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části je popsána historie kojení, složení mateřského mléka, předpoklady úspěšného kojení a kontraindikace kojení. Dále jsou zde popsány přínosy kojení pro dítě a pro matku spolu s faktory, které kojení ovlivňují. Je tu zmíněna také informační podpora kojení v ČR. Pro zpracování praktické části mé práce jsem použila kvantitativní výzkum, konkrétně anonymní nestandardizovaný dotazník vlastní konstrukce, který byl rozdáván kojícím ženám. Při jeho sestavení jsem vycházela z předem stanovených cílů a výzkumných otázek. Zvolila jsem metodu šetření PAPI (paper and pen interviewing) a pro interpretaci výsledků jsem využila základní statistické metody - absolutní a relativní četnost. Cílem práce bylo zjistit informovanost kojících žen o přínosech kojení pro dítě i pro matku a také identifikovat, kde ženy nejčastěji hledají informace o kojení. Výzkum byl realizován v ambulanci pražské lékařky pro děti a dorost MUDr. Martiny Matulové. Do vyhodnocení výzkumu bylo zahrnuto celkem 88 dotazníků. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že ženy mají velmi dobrý přehled o tom, jak dlouho dítě výhradně kojit (66 % správných odpovědí), že mateřské mléko plně nahraditelné umělými... The aim of the present study is to determine the level of awareness of breastfeeding benefits among breastfeeding women. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the history of breastfeeding, the composition of breast milk, prerequisites for successful breastfeeding and contraindications to breastfeeding. Furthermore, the benefits of breastfeeding for the child and the mother are discussed, together with factors affecting breastfeeding. In addition, the availability of information on breastfeeding in the Czech Republic is also briefly mentioned. In the practical part of my thesis, I used a method of quantitative research - specifically, an anonymous non-standardized questionnaire of my own design that was distributed to breastfeeding women. I based the questionnaire on the predetermined objectives and research questions. I chose the PAPI (paper and pen interviewing) survey method and used basic descriptive statistical methods (namely, absolute and relative frequencies) to interpret the results.
