Předmětem této bakalářské práce je přiblížit život celosvětově uznávaného teoretika a kritika umění, literáta a kurátora Jindřicha Chalupeckého (1910-1990). V textu je detailně popsán jeho profesní život s důrazem na činnost v Galerii Václava Špály a Galerii Voršilská. Vedle toho je práce věnovaná jeho vztahům s umělci a způsobu jejich vzájemné spolupráce. Tento aspekt Chalupeckého kurátorské činnosti v práci reprezentuje především mapování jeho vztahu s kolínským malířem a básníkem Františkem Karlem Foltýnem (1937-2000). Tento malíř je v dnešní době pokládán za tvůrce regionálního významu. Právě proto mě však zaujal jeho vztah s Jindřichem Chalupeckým v době jeho uměleckých začátků a podpora Chalupeckého díky které mohl Foltýn vystavovat s velmi renomovanými autory. Celou práci doprovází jejich přepsaná korespondence z let 1964 až 1971. V práci je povšechně zmíněn rovněž vztah Jindřicha Chalupeckého s dalšími kolínskými tvůrci, konkrétně se Zdenkem Rykrem a Jiřím Balcarem. Autorka práce předpokládá, že jsou mezilidské vztahy podstatnou součástí studia dějin umění a tyto dějiny výrazně ovlivňují. Z toho důvodu je nutné se dobovými vazbami mezi umělci a teoretiky zabývat. Na tomto konkrétním vztahu shledává zajímavým rovněž pozdější zařazení obou mužů do výkladu českých dějin umění. Jindřich Chalupecký je... The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to present the life of Jindřich Chalupecký (1910-1990), a world-renowned theorist, art critic, writer, and curator. The text describes in detail his professional life with emphasis on his work for two Prague art galleries: Václav Špála Gallery and Voršilská Gallery. Furthermore, a part of the thesis is dedicated to Chalupecký's relationships with artists and examines the ways in which they collaborated. This aspect of Chalupecký's curatorial work is mainly represented in the thesis by the mapping of his relationship with Kolín-based painter and poet František Karel Foltýn (1937-2000). Foltýn is presently regarded as a painter of local importance. That is precisely why his relationship to Jindřich Chalupecký, especially in the beginnings of his career, which Chalupecký supported him through and helped him exhibit his work among renowned artists, is of such interest to me. The thesis is accompanied by their transcribed correspondence from the years 1964-1971. It also explores Jindřich Chalupecký's working relationships with other Kolín-based artists, such as Zdenek Rykr and Jiří Balcar, respectively.
