Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na porovnání klasifikátorů Random Forest (RF) a CART na příkladu etiopského regionu Sidama. Pro tento region byla provedena analýza vývoje krajinného pokryvu mezi roky 2014 a 2020. Softwarem využitým ke klasifikaci byla cloudová platforma Google Earth Engine (GEE). Řízená klasifikace byla provedena na snímcích z misí Landsat 8 a Sentinel-2, které byly načteny z datového katalogu Earth Engine. Pro trénovací body byla využita data z in-situ měření, u vstupních dat byla ověřena variabilita v čase pomocí volně dostupných dat v Google Earth Pro. V rámci řešeršní části se práce věnuje metodám a výsledkům výzkumů, které byly prováděny v tématu blízkém této práci. V empirické části se práce věnuje analýze dat Landsat 8 a Sentinel-2, porovnáno bylo temporální, prostorové i spektrální rozlišení. Z hlediska temporálního rozlišení bylo prokázáno, že data Sentinel-2 díky dvěma paralelně snímajícím družicím umožňují snímat až třikrát více snímků pro stejné území v rámci Etiopie. Spektrální a prostorové rozlišení Sentinel-2 umožňuje lépe pozorovat menší a hůře odlišitelné prvky. Data byla následně využita pro klasifikace land cover pomocí klasifikátorů RF a CART v cloud based prostředí GEE. Klasifikátor RF umožnil získat vyšší celkovou přesnost, konkrétně až 82 % u dat Sentinel-2... This bachelor thesis is focused on the comparison of Random Forest (RF) and CART classifiers on the example of the Ethiopian region of Sidama. An analysis of land cover change between 2014 and 2020 was performed for this region. The cloud-based platform Google Earth Engine (GEE) was used for classifications. Supervised classifications were performed on images from Landsat 8 and Sentinel-2 missions, which were retrieved from the Earth Engine data catalogue. Data from in-situ measurement was used for training polygons, variability of input data over time was verified with Google Earth Pro. In the research part, the work deals with the methods and results of research that were conducted in a topic close to this work. In the empirical part, the work deals with the analysis of Landsat 8 and Sentinel-2 data. The temporal, spatial and spectral resolution were compared. In terms of temporal resolution, it has been shown that Sentinel-2 data allows up to three times more images for the same area thanks to the two satellites scanning in parallel. Spectral and spatial resolution of Sentinel-2 allows better observation of smaller and less distinguishable elements.
