Cílem této práce bylo srovnání mediálního obrazu koronaviru v České republice během první vlny pandemie, obav ohledně koronaviru v témže období a reálné situace vyjádřené denním přírůstkem počtu nakažených. Výchozí koncepcí byla teorie agenda-setting. Analýza ukázala souvislosti mezi těmito třemi dimenzemi. Mediální obraz byl analyzován obsahovou analýzou zpravodajství televize ČT1 a webu seznamzpravy.cz, pro analýzu vývoje obav jsem použila data výzkumu STEM/MARKu. Výsledky ukázaly, že v zvoleném období klesal v médiích podíl zpráv týkajících se koronaviru a současně klesaly i obavy, které lidé ohledně pandemie pociťovali. V ČR se současně situace zlepšovala, protože klesal denní přírůstek počtu nakažených; ve světě se situace naopak zhoršovala. V rámci analýzy se navíc ukázalo, že média, zejména ČT1, změnila v průběhu období tematické zaměření tím, že se více zaměřovala na témata týkající se důsledků pandemie koronaviru, na úkor zpráv týkajících se nákazy. Klíčová slova Mediální obraz, obavy, pandemie koronaviru, agenda-setting, obsahová analýza The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyse media image of coronavirus in Czech Republic during the first wave of pandemic, concerns about the coronavirus at the same period and real situation expressed by daily increase in the number of infected. The analysis showed a connection between these three dimensions. Media image of coronavirus was analyzed by content analysis of ČT1 news and website seznamzpravy.cz, for the analyisis of the development of concerns was used STEM/MARK's research. The resoults showed, that the proportion of media reports related to coronavirus decreased in the selected period and at the same time concerns decreased too. At the same time, the situation was improving in the Czech Republic, as the daily increase in the number of infected people was declining, while in the world the situation was deteriorating. In addition, we found that the media, especially ČT1, changed their thematic focus over the period by focusing more on topics related to the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, to the detriment of reports related to the infection.
