Tato bakalářská práce je jednopřípadovou studií zabývající se přístupem k občanství ve Velké Británii a způsobem, jakým ho proměnily naturalizační politiky a migrace. Problematika občanství se na přelomu tisíciletí v důsledku velkého přílivu migrantů a rasových nepokojů v zemi stala předmětem mnoha akademických debat a následné zavádění testů občanství se setkalo se značnou kontroverzí. Cílem práce je proto zmapovat velmi diskutovanou problematiku naturalizace ve Velké Británii a na základě analýzy obsahu přípravných materiálů na test občanství poskytnout velmi jedinečný a komplexní obraz toho, jak se během let proměnil přístup k občanství. Pro zpracování publikací k občanským testům je použita metoda kvalitativní dokumentové analýzy a pomocí aplikování předem definované typologie občanství a integračních přístupů v teoretické části jsou příručky zkoumány. Práce předpokládá, že v důsledku obav z nedostatku integrace komunit imigrantů a následnému zpřísňování opatření pro získání statusu občana došlo ke změně od liberálního a multikulturního přístupu k více restriktivním formám přístupů ke konceptu občanství. Na základě stanovené analýzy práce dochází k závěru, že Velká Británie nepoužívá jeden přístup k občanství, ale kombinuje prvky každého z nich. Zároveň však došlo v důsledku migrace a zpřísnění... This bachelor's thesis is a one-case study of the approach to citizenship in the UK and the way it has been transformed by naturalization policies and migration. The issue of citizenship became the subject of many academic debates at the turn of the millennium due to the large influx of migrants and racial unrest in the country, and the subsequent introduction of citizenship tests was met with considerable controversy. The aim of this work is to map the much-discussed issue of naturalization in the UK and based on an analysis of the content of preparatory materials for the citizenship test, provide a very unique and comprehensive picture of how the approach to citizenship has changed over the years. The method of qualitative document analysis is used for the processing of publications for civic tests, and the manuals are examined by applying a predefined typology of citizenship and integration approaches in the theoretical part. The thesis assumes that due to concerns about the lack of integration of immigrant communities and the consequent tightening of measures to obtain citizenship status, there has been a change from a liberal and multicultural approach to more restrictive forms of approach to the concept of citizenship.
