It is an alternative to long-term foster care, which has only been developing in recent years. Its pitfalls include breaking the emotional bond that a child has with a foster family, an insufficient number of foster families, and the associated insufficient motivation to perform a foster care for a temporary period or the inability of foster parents to work with a biological family. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe a foster care for a temporary period comprehensively with regard to all aspects that a foster care for a temporary period includes.
