Tato diplomová práce se zabývá etnickými rozdíly ve výskytu kolorektálního karcinomu. Prvním hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat vliv vybraných socio-demografických faktorů, faktorů zdravotního stavu a faktorů životního stylu na incidenci kolorektálního karcinomu. Druhým hlavním cílem je zjistit etnické rozdíly ve výskytu kolorektálního karcinomu v USA a stanovit příspěvek vlivu jednotlivých vybraných socio-demografických faktorů a faktorů životního stylu za použití dat z PLCO databáze. PLCO je studie případů a kontrol a zahrnuje individuální data přibližně 155 000 respondentů v USA. Hlavním zjištěním je významný vliv věkové struktury, pohlaví, etnicity, vzdělání, anamnézy kolorektálního karcinomu u blízkých příbuzných a diabetu u respondentů na incidenci kolorektálního karcinomu. Dále bylo zjištěno, že konzumace alkoholu, kouření a obezita zvyšují riziko vzniku kolorektálního karcinomu. Naopak zvýšený příjem vitaminu D a léky obsahující léčebnou látku kyselinu acetylsalicylovou (v tomto případě konkrétně lék aspirin) riziko vzniku kolorektálního karcinomu snižují. U Afroameričanů, bělochů i ve skupině ostatní (zahrnuje zbylé etnické menšiny) byl zjištěn vliv věkové struktury a pohlaví na riziko vzniku kolorektálního karcinomu. Vliv životního stylu na etnické rozdíly v incidenci kolorektálního... This diploma thesis deals with ethnic differences in the incidence of colorectal cancer. One of the primary aims is to analyze the influence of selected socio-demographic factors, health factors and lifestyle factors on the incidence of colorectal cancer. Another main aim is to find out if there are ethnic differences in the incidence of colorectal cancer in the United States to determine the contribution of the influence of selected socio-demographic and lifestyle factors using the data from the PLCO database. PLCO is a case-control study which includes individual data collected from approximately 155,000 respondents in the United States. The main finding is a significant influence of respondents' age structure, gender, ethnicity, education, family history of colorectal cancer as well as diabetes on the incidence of colorectal cancer. It has also been suggested that alcohol consumption, smoking and obesity increase the risk of colorectal cancer. On the contrary, an increased intake of vitamin D and drugs containing acetylsalicylic acid (in this case aspirin) reduces the risk of colorectal cancer.
