cze Abstract:
The Bachelor thesis focuses on the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival One World and its media communication. In order to determine the festival`s approach to the concept of human rights, i.e. what is advocated by One World in their promotional material and how, four case studies, i.e. four years of the festival (2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019), are analysed. The aim is to name and describe the strategies the festival, an institution with its own agenda, uses in order to promote its interests in the public domain. The method applied is a critical discourse analysis, which is expanded by findings from the field of film festival studies.
